Payments

The DVLA aren't responsible for any money which goes missing whilst sending payments to them. For this reason they ask that you refrain from sending loose cash, bank notes or blank postal orders.

Any payments you make by cheque / postal order make payable to DVLA SWANSEA and remember not to post date any cheques as these won't be accepted!

Don't forget to sign and date any cheques/postal orders making sure that the correct value wrote in words is the same in figures. On back of any payment, write your full name, address, and D.O.B. and driver number if known.

If you send the incorrect fee - under pay, then your application will be returned to you for correct payment.

Where do I send forms?

1st provisional licence: SA99 1AD

1st full licence for car & motorbikes: SA99 1BJ

Other licences to drive cars & motorbikes: SA99 1AB

Medium / large vehicles, minibus / bus licence: SA99 1BR

Exchange of foreign licences: SA99 1BT

Change of name / address: SA99 1BN

Exchange paper licence for photo card: SA99 1BU

Renewal at age of 70 or over: SA99 1AA

Once forms are sent

You should receive any licence you've applied for within about 3 weeks or 15 working days from the date the DVLA are in receipt of it.

Driving whilst DVLA have your form

If you're applying for your 1st provisional licence of any type you must not be driving any vehicle until you've received the provisional licence.

It is a legal requirement to inform DVLA of any change of name or address if you don't, you could be fined up to £1800!
