Are you prepared - Ready for the test?

It is important to be sure that you are fully prepared for your practical test. Over 100,000 people fail every year; so its important to put time & effort in! After all practical tests aren't cheap.

Taking the practical test in your own car

You can take the practical test in your own car, however it must have:

• An MOT Certificate (if car is over 3 years old)
• A Valid tax disc
• Clear / Visible 'L' plates at the front and back of the car
• Seatbelts that work properly
• An extra mirror for the examiners use
• Fitted headrestrain to at least the passenger seat
• Check that your number plates are clearly visible

Taking the test puts more responsibility on you in the sense of getting everything prepared for the test (see above) plus signing the declaration that your insurance is in order. If you fail to comply with the above regulations or sign the declaration then the test can't go ahead!
