Here are some tips which should help you get mentally and physically prepared for the practical test:
Tell yourself that you can do it and be prepared to show the examiner that you can do it too!
Ensure that you have eaten before your test. Food has been proven to fuel your concentration.
Wear clothes that make you feel comfy, confident and relaxed.
It is essential that you arrive at the test centre on time at least 10mins before the test. This is so that you can prepare yourself plus, allow time to prepare appropriate documents for the examiner.
Relax, imagine you're simply having a mock test with your driving instructor. The examiner is there only to see how competent your driving is.
Give yourself a good image, listen carefully to the examiner and act upon his/her instructions. If you're unsure what the examiner instructed, don't be afraid to ask.
Any situation you come across whilst on your test, think carefully and respond in a safe manor. Predict what could happen in the surroundings and this will help to plan ahead.
Enjoy the ride after all this is your time and money that you are spending to show that you are a safe driver and worthy of a licence.
Check that you have the following ready to give to the examiner before the test.
You must have the above otherwise you can't take the practical test and the fee will be wasted.
You can take any of the following ID along, but it must have your signature and a photograph of you.
If you don't have any of these, you can take a signed photo of yourself with a statement photo of yourself with a statement like "This is a true likeness of your name" signed by any of the following:
You will need your CBT Certificate if you are taking a motorcycle test. You cannot take the test if you don't have the CBT certificate and the fee will be lost.
